Hadley’s Arrival

On October 11th around 1:30 am I woke up with “cramps.”  I never thought that this would be the beginning of the rest of my life!  Those “cramps” came every hour…throughout the rest of the day!  Needless to say, I nor your father went to work that day. We spent the day hanging out at home, ate lunch at Clarks Fork and even managed to take the dogs for a walk around the ponds, stopped by Ian and Leah’s to give Kieran his birthday gift, hit up Barnes and Nobles (where dad bought a coffee-knowing it was going to be a long night!). We finally headed home around 5pm and had dinner with Calli. Calli was a blessing to have over as she helped time the contractions while dad packed up the vehicle and got everything ready for the hospital. Finally, around 9pm we headed to the hospital and my contractions were lasting only 30-45 seconds and occurring every 3 minutes. We were admitted and really the rest is history~ though you definitely made your mom work !  You made your arrival into this world at 2:00 am, weighing 7 lbs, and you were 19 1/2 inches long!  We were so excited to meet you and also in desperate need of sleep! You came out looking a little funny, you were sunny-side up, so you were a little mushed up and had some battle wounds on your head.
